This stunning development overlooking Tower Bridge required wetroom drainage solutions into 285 luxury apartments.
The Challenge
Landmark Place is a stunning development of luxury apartments on the north bank of the River Thames beside the Tower of London. Previously the site of an old 1970’s office block, Barratt London’s luxury housing development of one, two, and three bedroom apartments features exquisite residences with beautiful fixtures and fittings, a residents fitness suite with 20m pool, cinema and concierge service. The world class facilities offer residents a five star hotel experience that meets their work, leisure and lifestyle needs.
Following the specification of the Linear Screed Drain by Barratt London, CCL Wetrooms were contacted by Haydon Mechanical & Electrical to supply wetroom drainage solutions into 285 bathrooms within the development. The drainage needed to be suitable for installation onto newly screeded floors.
The Solution
Due to the varying floor depths within the new build development, Linear Screed Drains were specified for use onto the concrete floors. The Linear Screed Drain has the option of extra deep brackets which offers adjustability from 88 -122mm and enables the drain to be installed into floors with a deeper floor construction. Stunning linear Stone-Infill Grills in varying lengths were specified to be installed flush against the wall in each wetroom. In order to accommodate two different depths of natural stone floor tiles, S8 (6-8mm stone thickness) or S12 (10-12mm stone thickness) were specified. All drainage products were installed by M&E Contractors Haydon Mechanical & Electrical.
