The Glade, Ascot
Luxury house developer Montrose Developments required the installation of wetrooms and waterproofing solutions into their latest development in Ascot.
The Challenge
Montrose Developments build exclusive homes in Berkshire and Surrey with exceptional levels of quality and finish. They have been building exclusive homes in these areas for the last twenty five years. The Glade is a stunning gated development of three executive homes in South Ascot, each consisting of beautiful reception rooms and five bedrooms with luxury en-suites.
Wetrooms UK were approached by Montrose Developments to supply wetroom systems and install comprehensive waterproofing solutions into the Master Bedroom and Guest en-suites. The systems needed to be suitable for use on screeded floors.
The Solution
Wetrooms UK recommended the installation of Linear Wall Drains into all of the en-suites, which were then laid to fall. The Linear Wall Drain has a shallow depth of only 67mm, making it ideal for installation in shallow floor construction. The waterless, spring loaded trap ensures the drain cannot dry out in periods of low use.
Tilesafe waterproof membrane was applied to the floor and wall junctions across the entire shower area of each bathroom. Flexible Wall Membrane (FWM) was applied full height to the shower walls, finishing 2.2m outside of the shower area, linking to the floor membrane, to prevent any water penetration.
Stone In-fill and Solid Stainless Steel grills of varying sizes, ranging from 600mm up to 1 metre in length were installed into the en-suites, giving the contemporary wetrooms a stunning finishing touch.
